Terry Hight, our Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, was born in Oklahoma City in 1940. Terry was an accomplished chemist and both a chemical and environmental engineer. He earned bachelor's degrees at the University of Central Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree at the University of Houston. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. Then he worked at several companies, including the U.S. Geological Survey, Mobil Oil, the Department of the Navy, and retired while at Witco Chemical. During his career, he developed several patients and contributed to many industry publications. His inquisitive nature and scientific-like mind meant he never stopped learning and creating.
Those who know him loved his curiosity and his compassion. He was always looking for ways to help people, whether they were family or someone he had just met. He was one of the most hard-working, kind, and honest people, and we are blessed for having him in our lives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Temple Hight, and his mother, Oklahoma Hight; nephew Clint Hight. He was called on to look over someone very special in the next life. He is survived by his brothers Trent Hight and wife Nancy, Tim Hight and wife Maria; children Elaine Hight and wife Shawna their children Keelin and Zachary, and his son Eric Hight; niece Angela Iven; nephews, Charles Hight, Brian Hight, and Tad Hight.
