Susan Kay Borders, of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away on September 16, 2022 and is now watching her Sooners from the best seat in the house. Susie was born August 21, 1946 to Daniel Winfield Potts, Jr. and Betty Louise (Chester) Potts.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Susie was a graduate of Northwest Classen High School, Class of 1964. In 2008, Susie moved to Perry where she lived until the time of her passing.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Susie enjoyed doing word search puzzles and she always loved meeting new people on online Bingo, and attending church at 611 Bakehouse in Perry. Susie was quite accomplished professionally as she was a very proficient legal secretary for approximately 30 years in the Oklahoma City area.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, Michael Potts.
She leaves to carry on her memory her children Tambra Cape of Perry, OK, Robin Andrew and husband Stan of Appleton, WI and Stephanie Ehlinger and husband Brenton of Yukon, OK; sisters Vicky Blackfoot of Santa Rosa, CA and Carolyn Allen of Yukon, OK; grandchildren Chelsea Cape (Michael Yancy) of Guthrie, OK, Lanie Cape (Justin Wallace) of Perry, OK, Luke Andrew (Stacy Andrew) of Wichita, KS, Alyssa Ehlinger of Yukon, OK and great grandchildren Layla Wallace, Emma Wallace and Chris Wallace all of Perry, OK.
A service to celebrate Susie’s life will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 5 p.m., Covenant Community Church, 2250 S. Yukon Parkway, Yukon, OK 73099
