Steve, known fondly as Scuba Steve, was a retired aircraft mechanic with Tinker Air-force Base, dedicating 22 years to his career before retiring in 2022. He was a kind, compassionate, and loving person who cherished spending time with his grandson Rowdy. Steve also found joy in fishing, boating, and hunting, and was a devoted fan of Oklahoma University and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, children Bryan and Jimmy, stepchildren Preston and David Wright, grandchildren Aarilynn, Victoria, and Isabella, sister Jan Grizzle and husband Bill, niece Ashley, and nephew Austin. Steve was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Barbara Garner.
Steve graduated from Enid High School in the Class of 1972 and attended Oklahoma University.
