Services for Richard L. Wood will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, Feb 3, 2021 at Sunnyside Baptist Church at 1139 SW 48th St. in OKC, OK 73109. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday at Advantage Funeral Service from 12pm-6pm. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 4-6pm Tuesday afternoon.

Richard L Wood, of OKC, went home to be with Jesus on January 29th, 2021, at the age of 92. Richard was born in Sherman, TX on June 4,1928; but lived most of his life in OKC.He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and was stationed in the Philippines. He graduated from Central High School after returning from WW2. He worked for several oil companies and Office Products, Inc before his retirement. At the age of 33 he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as savior and Lord. He attended Sunnyside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; Leslie John Wood, Exie Josephine Wood; birth mother, Nina Brown; and granddaughter, Chelsea Megan Henson. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Janice Fay Wood; sister, Wanda Millsap, of CO; daughter, Lana Henson and husband, Karl Semtner; daughter, Mitzi Smith and husband Steve Smith; granddaughter, Jana Rhoton and husband, Phillip Rhoton; grandsons, Conner Smith and Dylan Smith; and numerous extended family and friends.
