Rebecca Marley Fluitt, 88, of Midwest City, OK passed away on July 29, 2014. She was born on Oct. 16, 1925 in Ardmore, OK to Floyd and Lenna Zellner. Rebecca graduated from Ardmore High School in 1944. Her career included many years as Business Manager for Marion C. Wagnon, M.D. in Del City, OK and later became an Administrative Assistant at Rose State College. Rebecca grew up singing as one of the three Zellner sisters and was a basketball “star” at both Dickson and Ardmore High School. She became a skilled pianist and organist throughout her lifetime and always asked family on visits “Anybody want to hear me play?” It was rare to not see a smile on Rebecca’s face and hear one of her infamous ‘funnies’. She also had the same best friend, Maxine, from childhood on! She loved to cook and everyone looked forward to holiday meals (especially the sweets) at Grandma Becky’s. Rebecca and her husband of 43 years, Marvin, enjoyed traveling, working in their yard, and playing Scrabble and Dominos anytime they had a free moment. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a beautiful person inside and out. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin L. Fluitt, sisters Sue Gambel and Billie Amis, and step-daughter Marsha Saponari. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Suzanne Aylor of Midwest City, and sons Randy Marley of Edmond and Terry Marley and wife LeeAnn of Oklahoma City; step-daughter Barbara Gaddis and husband Royce of Lubbock, TX, step-sons Paul Fluitt and wife Lily of MWC, Mark Fluitt of Omaha, NE, and John Fluitt of OKC. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christie Aylor Kassal and husband Rick, Brian Aylor, Tara Marley Dobbins and husband Chad, Jared Marley and wife Randi, Tyler Marley, Chase Marley, and Kelly Marley; step-grandchildren Aaron Fluitt and wife Kristen, Michelle Fluitt, Cassandra Fluitt, Abigail Fluitt, Carrie Ford, Matthew Fox, and Jennifer Wilson; great-grandchildren Casey and Blake Kassal, Ava and Olivia Aylor, Kelsey and Mackenzie Dobbins, Taylor Phillips, Hayden and Paisley Marley, JT and Brielee Ford, Kaleb and Jacob Fox, Landon Taylor and Cooper Wilson; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 2nd at Bill Eisenhour Chapel, with graveside service at Arlington Memory Gardens.
