Pauline Nancy Strange went home to be with her heavenly Father February 24, 2015 at the age of 90. She had lived in the Choctaw area since the 1950s. She was born September 8th, 1924 in Sayre, Oklahoma to William Karl and Mollie Nancy (Barton) Fichtler. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, playing Shanghai rummy, and meals on wheels. One of her favorite things was preparing a roast dinner every Sunday for her children and grandchildren. Pauline rallied around her church and they rallied around her. She was a church volunteer, a secretary, involved with the prayer and call chain, a Sunday school teacher for many years until she couldn’t see well anymore. All through her life, she shared the gospel to children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adrian Carrel Strange, 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors include 3 sons: Cecil E. Strange and wife Pam of Norman, OK, William C. strange and wife Eva of Midwest City, OK, and Bobby T. Strange and wife Jill of McLoud, OK; 2 daughters: Nancy Carol Brooks and Patricia A. Shepperd and husband Dennis of Newport News, VA.; 12 grandchildren, and many greats, and great- greats. Funeral services will be held at Countryside Baptist Church, 29th & Peebly Road, Choctaw, OK., Friday February 27, 2015 at 10:00am with burial following at Arlington Memory Gardens directed by Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home.
