Michael Marne Ross was born to Elda Fay (Trumbly) Ross and Francis M. Ross on December 20, 1944, in Oklahoma City and died August 26, 2012. Mike was a 1963 graduate of Northeast High School in Oklahoma City, served his country 2 years in the U.S. Army, and was employed for 31- years at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Mike married Karen Kelly Adams on July 1, 1978, and they spent 34 wonderful years together. To his wife, Karen, Mike demonstrated both a fun-loving spirit and an unfailing love that made Karen feel cherished and protected. Mike gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a former member of Mayfair Baptist Church and Sunday School Director for 12 years as well as a former Bible Study Fellowship member. He had a humble servant's heart and a sincere love of God. Mike enjoyed boating at Lake Ouachita, AR, snow skiing, traveling in his motor home, playing a wicked game of dominoes, and spending holidays, birthdays, and celebrations with family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife, Karen, of the home; step-daughter Amy and husband Jim Oleinik of Yukon, OK, and granddaughters Naomi and Noelle Oleinik. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Ketchum, of Oklahoma City; brothers Richard (LaQuita) Ross of Tuttle, OK, and Vern (Jean Ann) Ross of Oklahoma City; his uncle's wife, Barbara Trumbly; his aunt, Dorothy Duhme; his sister-in-law Gail (Melvyn) Brown, all of Oklahoma City; and 9 nieces and nephews and their children. Mike lived life to the fullest in his own inimitable style, exhibited a disarming sense of humor, was beloved by a wide circle of family and friends, and was immeasurably generous to all, but most of all, made you feel loved. He will be deeply missed. Memorial services will be held by Pastors Vic Morlan and Ben Reid at 1 o'clock on September 4, 2012, at Mayfair
Baptist Church, Oklahoma City.
