Gage has always been a great worker and a gentleman at Downtown 66. He is the epitome of the honest mechanic. He always tells you options and explains the pros and cons of the cheap option as compared to the expensive option. He is down to earth, and he never talks down to female customers the way some people do. I would trust Gage Prough with my car, or with anything and I'm sure he's the same way with his family. I can't imagine the depth of loss they are going through, and I offer my condolences. The last time I saw Gage, my car had been acting like the battery was dead or dying. Gage checked it out, said the battery was in great shape. He added, "maybe the battery in the key fob is going out ." With my permission, he opened the key fob and wrote down for me the type of battery it used. I still have the piece of paper he wrote that on. I appreciate him so much. I really miss seeing him; he would bring happiness to anyone's day. By the way, it was the key fob.

Dear McKenzie and boys,
I wish I had the words to tell you what your Father brought to this world.  But, I only have my story.
I met your father through his work with Downtown 66.  He worked on all of my cars for as long as he was with Downtown 66.  He was one of my favorite people.  He always had a smile of his face and his smile was so heartfelt, you just had to like him.  For those who knew him, his smile was his heart! He would do anything for anyone.
This past August when it was 110 degrees in the shade, my car would not start.  I called my husband.  He tried to jump it and could not get it started.  We went to Downtown 66 and of course, Gage was there.  He wasted no time to see if he had a battery in stock and did.  He loaded it up in his car and came to my work where my car sat there .....dead!  It took him 45 minutes to put the battery in my car with the heat beating down on him and sweat running down his face.  But, he did it.!!! And, with a smile on his face at that! He told me at another time he was working on your Mother's car.  He was very proud of that as he was of you two boys.  He loved you and everyone who knew him knew he did.  Even though you are very young, I hope his 
memory will live on in your hearts like your memory is always living in his.  And, for the people who knew him, his memory will always be with them..  Your Father made this world a better world.  He left a legacy of his goodwill and you two boys! Sincerely, Linda Andrews

My heart goes out to Gage's family.  

I have not known Gage for a long time but he certainly made an impression on me.  He was a good young man who loved his family and wanted to do good for them.  He was also very kind and had a good heart.

He will be missed for sure.  Prayers and positve thoughts for his family.
