Here it is in April, 2020, and Covid is the news. I sat down to study my Bible this morning and had a random thought, thinking of a saying Mike and I used to say in college. 
So I thought I’d Google Mike with the idea of getting his number and speaking that saying on a call out of the blue, to see if he remembered. 
So sad to see Mike’s obit. 
We roomed together our freshman year at OSU. We had a great time. We even studied some!
I made my daughters wait until they were thirty to tell them of some of our exploits in college. I was afraid they would try to duplicate some of Mike and my dumb deeds!
What a great guy Mike was; honest, smart, played his guitar beautifully and sang like James Taylor. He had a super sense of humor. He had a kind and gentle personality, but being a wrestler he was not a guy you wanted to mess with.  He only had to turn me into a pretzel once to teach me you could only mess with Mike so far. 
I didn’t know Diane very well, but you could tell she was the love of Mike’s life. 
We lost touch after leaving OSU as life took us in different directions. 
The memories of Mike always make me smile. He was the kind of guy who made you better just by being his friend.

Like we used to say......and still drives my grown kids crazy to this day.....”Peace, Love, and Groove” will always get us somewhere!

Mike was my little brother. He was 7 years younger so he got picked on a bit. I can't tell you all of the wonderful experiences we had, but let me just say I loved him dearly. He was always so calm and cool and collected. His patience was incredible compared to mine. He was a genuine gentleman and was always there for anybody and everybody inside and outside his family when they needed help or advise. I miss him dearly and wish peace for Diane, Russ and Loralyn. We know where he is and he is keeping up with all of us.

I didn't know Mike personally in high school but I knew he was a genuine young man. I got to know him after high school and he was a true man. My heart goes out to his family!

I am so sad to see this. Mike was such a wonderful person in school and continued to be a wonderful husband and father. I became more acquainted with him after high school. And the sky was the limit for what he could to in life. Proud to be a friend. RIP my friend.

It had been many years since I last saw Mike.  He was at the grocery store and took the time to come up to me to say hello.  I always knew him through Jr. High and High School as a very kind and considerate person.  He was looked up to by so many.  My heart goes out to his family who are enduring this sorrow.  Just know that there are so many people wishing you well.

I was blessed to know Michael Lynn only for a short time in my life but his impact on me will forever be remembered.  I have been blessed to know only a handful of men like Mike in my life.  He was an incredible friend, husband, father and a role model for people that he touched in his life.  I am sad today but I celebrate his life for the person that he was.  The thought of my coffee drinking buddy sitting at The Father's side forever and ever is something we should we all should have peace with.   I am praying for Diane, Russ, and Loralyn.  I pray that you remember often what an incredible person that he was and how blessed we all are to have had him in our lives.

I just heard about Mike's passing.  I worked with Mike at Kerr-McGee and only knew him for a brief period, however I enjoyed working with him.  He always was very up front, kind and nice to me.  I am sorry for your loss.

The Haxel family were the best neighbors we had in the Village.  We were all a bunch of kids. Watching and playing with the neighborhood kids. I will never forget ya'll, the lizard on your head.  I can just see Mike kissing you when he got home.  No worries with that lizard.  Such a loving family and my prayers are with all.  Glad that Loralyn and Julie are in contact and hope to see you soon.  We love you!  Alice & Joey..

I have so many wonderful memories of Mike and the whole Haxel family since I grew up living next door to them. Russell and I were inseparable. Mike would play catch with us both or get out there and play two below or shoot baskets. My mom and mike and Diane would be outside playing hide and go seek with us in the dark. Mike always had a smile on his face and was so full of life. I feel so blessed to have gotten a chance to have him be apart of my life. After losing my dad at 18 I know the pain but remember he is with you every day and will forever be your guardian angel and this seperation is only temporary as you will see him again. I love you all and may God continue to bless and protect each one of you.

Diane my heart goes out to you and your family.  Michael was such a dear, dear man.  It was such a pleasure and privilege to have known him.  Everyone knew you two were soul mates and always will be.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Mike through my son Dale when they were at Burbank Grade School.  I haven't seen him in years, but know that God is pulling him in early for some good reason, as he definitely was a wonderful person. Hang in there family. Mike and I go back to grade school and played little league together. (Go Bumblebee's) Mike had a good arm in those days. There are several stories that stick out and will share sometime when we gather to reminisce. While Mike and I did not see each other on a regular basis, when we did, we picked up where we left off. I will miss Mike very much. -Dale Vaughn

I haven't seen Mike in a long time, but I have nothing but good memories of him from high school. I liked him very much.  I am certain that those he left behind will miss him deeply.  I only hope to comfort them by letting them know that there are many that cared for him.

Thinking of Mike, brought back memories from years ago when the Alvin and Frank clan spent summers at a cabin at Lake Frances. What fun we had.  Our condolences to Mike's family.  He will be missed, but with fond memories.

Where do I began....  Daddy Mike was handsome, caring, always ready to give you a hug & everyone wanted to hang out with him because he was fun & made you feel good about yourself!  I'm so thankful that he was in my life, he was a wonderful example of what a man and father should be!  He truly loved his wife, Momma, and it showed!  What important lessons he taught us all growing but just by being himself.  He will be missed so greatly!  We will celebrate him forever!  So honored to have know him & for him to have been apart of my life for more than 3 decades!  Daddy Mike - I love you!  Thanks for being you!  Momma & Loralyn -- I love you two beyond words!!
