Mary Ann Harris

Mary Ann Harris, 79, of Oklahoma City passed away November 28, 2017 at 5:38 am after a courageous battle with heart disease. Mary Ann was born on November 19, 1938 at Wesley Hospital in Oklahoma City to Jesse Edward Wilson and Lydia Davis Wilson. She went to school all over Oklahoma and graduated from El Reno High School in 1956. After graduating, she went to St. Anthony’s nursing school and became an RN in 1959. She furthered her education by earning a bachelor degree in 1974. After retiring in the mid-90’s, she loved to travel. This was only second to spending time with her family and friends; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lydia Wilson; husband, John Sidney Harris; son, Micah Harris; and brothers, Don and Eddie Wilson. She is survived by her son, Chris Harris; sister, Jan Goodson; brother, Chuck Wilson; grandchildren, Sidney, Sam, Ben, Hannah, and Charlie; great-grandchildren, Lyric and Ezra, many nieces and nephews and all of their children.

Mary Ann’s independent spirit and infectious smile will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park following the Funeral Service.
