Mary Boyer of Oklahoma City passed away on March 14, 2016, at the age of 81. She was born on September 27, 1934 in Kansas City, KS to Helen and Frances Douglas. Mary met her husband, at youth league baseball game. Little did she know Glenn loved her at first sight. Sports brought them together for a lifetime. They were married June 27th, 1954 in Kansas City, KS. She was a secretary for Boeing Aircraft while her husband completed college at Wichita University. Next she worked for El Paso Natural Gas, as they traveled to Ft. Bliss, TX for his military duty. She was in demand with her typing and shorthand speed at every job, known as “a whiz”. Her dream job, in Oklahoma City, was medical transcriber for Dr. J.W. Hood for 21 years. Retired, the OKC Thunder became her team. Mary and Glenn shared almost 62 loving years of marriage. They enjoyed watching sports, traveling and living life to its fullest. Mary always had a smile and was loved by everyone that met her. Mary is survived by her husband; Glenn Sr.; son, Glenn Jr.; daughter, Candi; grandchildren, Nicole, Sean and Trey; great grandchildren, Kyler and Liam. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 18 at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made out to Mission Hospice, LLC.
