“Marge” was born in Denison, TX, on March 21, 1926. Marge attended Lawton High School (class of 1944) and later attended Baylor University’s nursing school. Marge married her sweetheart, Cecil “Bud” Clement Conner, on December 21, 1947, and was his “special angel” for 68 years.
Until moving to Oklahoma City in 2013, she lived most of her life in Duncan, OK, where she was active in the First Methodist Church, the Duncan Area Literacy Council, the Duncan Golf and Tennis Club, and many other service organizations throughout her life.
She loved to paint, sew, work in her garden, read, cook, and spend time with her family and friends. She and Bud enjoyed playing bridge with their friends, traveling, and meeting new people. Marge, or “Momo” to her adoring grandkids and great-grandkids, was warm, kind, loving, giving, supportive, thoughtful, loyal, and hardworking. She always had a warm hug, an encouraging word, and a prayer for anyone who needed them.
Marguerite is survived by her four children, Stephen Bruce Conner, Susan Layne Conner, Alan Dale Conner, and Jeffry Lance Conner, all of the OKC area; her nieces and nephew, her eight grandchildren, and her three great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil, her father, Alvin “A. E.” Seabolt, mother, Zee Seabolt, brother, Gordon Seabolt, and brother, Jim Seabolt.
Marge will be laid to rest with her husband at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, OK, after a family graveside service.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MemorialParkOKC.com for the Conner family.
