Marc Harris

Marc D. Harris passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 8, 2010. Marc was born in Santa Ana, CA and graduated from Edison High School in Tulsa, OK in 1959. Marc graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1966 with a BS in Forestry. He worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Forestry for 10 years and retired from the USDA Forest Service after 25 years of service. Marc had two passions; providing wildland fire support which he did for 50 seasons and growing the best organic garden he possibly could. We will miss that wonderful produce and know that Marc will be providing fire support from above.

Marc is survived by his wife Barbara Harris; his mother, Isabelle Harris; sisters, Margaret Been and husband Dave, Saralee Hines and husband Jerry; brother-in-law Dean Johnson, nephews and nieces, Christopher Hinnen, Jeff Hinnen, Holly Thompson, Douglas Johnson, Darin Johnson, Rad Janloo, Reza Janloo, Lelia Janloo, and of course, Bear.

Marc says to all his friends and family, “It is not who you are but what you share.”

Memorial Services are 2:00pm Sat., June 12 at Guardian West Chapel.
