Lynn dedicated her life to education, understanding her passion in high school at Northwest Classen and continuing on to Oklahoma State University, where she received her Bachelors degree. She began her teaching career as an elementary school teacher at Holland Hall in Tulsa and then at Poe Elementary in Houston. She then started her first of two Charter Schools as Principal of Briarmeadow Charter School in Houston. Finding true community in Galveston, she then started a KIPP Charter school, KIPP Coastal Village, where she focused on providing education and support to underprivileged children on Galveston Island. All came full circle when she moved back to Oklahoma City and became the director of curriculum for OKCPS.
