Linda Williams was born May 20, 1947, to Archie Thomas and Laura Ellen Jones, in Lubbock Texas. She was the youngest of 5 children, with 4 older brothers, Cotton, Bud, Dee and Tony. The date of her passing was September 26, 2021.
On Jan. 12, 1963, Linda married the love of her life, Bobby Jo Branum. They were married for 38 years, and shared 3 children together, Donald, “Don”, Curtis, “Curt” and Latonia, “Tonya”. She later married Ron Williams, on September 12, 2002. Linda was a manager of Woolco Department Store and later worked for many years in food service of both, the Oklahoma City Public Schools and the Blanchard Nursing Home, and intermittently was a homemaker taking care of her family.
Linda enjoyed family trips, and made her family the priorities of all of her hobbies and entertainment, especially when grandchildren came along.
She and her late husband, Bob, were the founders and CEOs of the
“Good Timer’s“ CB club, in the late 1970s.
She was a supportive wife, mom and grandma of all family interests.
In recent years, as her family grew, she was known to all of her grandkids as, “Grandma“ and “Nanna”.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Archie Thomas and Laura Ellen Jones, Her husband Bobby Jo Branum, her late husband Ron Williams, 3 of her 4 brothers, Cotton, Bud and Tony, and her grandson J.J. Tate.
She is survived by her big bother, Archie Dee Jones and wife Janell of Oklahoma City; Son, Donald Branum and wife Patty of Blanchard, OK; Daughter Latonia and husband Merle of Newcastle, OK; Son, Curtis and Wife Shana of Newcastle, OK, and sons Cory Williams and Chase Williams and their families,15 grand kids and 12 great-grandkids, many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
A come-and-go visitation for Linda will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral celebration will occur Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:30 at the Advantage Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow to Resthaven Cemetery, 500 SW 104th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
