Larry Fred Mills was born on April 23, 1932, and dies on Nov. 10, 2015. He was born on the family farm northwest of Wayne, OK to parents Dora Mae (Anderson) and Fred Thomas Mills. Larry attended school in Wayne, graduating from High School in 1950. In Jan. 1951, he joined the Air Force Reserves, was called to active duty in March, 1951 and was stationed at Bergstrom AFB in Austin, TX. In 1955, Larry went to work for an oil field supply company, his introduction to the oil industry, which remained his career choice until retirement. In 1956, he went to work for an oil field service company, based in Montana. His work took him all over the Rocky Mountain area, including Casper, WY, where he met the love of his life, in Jan. In 1965, Larry formed his own company Mills Well Logging Services, based in Casper. In 1976, Larry moved his family and business to OKC. While living in the Rockies, he lover to hunt and fish, and after moving to OK he enjoyed time with his family at Lake Texoma. He always loved babies, which was a good thing, since he and Jan were blessed with 6 children. Larry was predeceased by his parents, his brother, and 4 sisters, his daughter, Mary Beth, and 2 grandchildren. He is survived by Jan, his wife of 58 years, and children Pam (Dennis) Smith of Highland Ranch, Colo., Rebecca (Rick) Goodson, Heather McQueen, Larry A. Mills, all of OKC and Jim (Megan) Mills of Edmond, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, sister Linda Ellis of Pauls Valley, sister-in-law Mary Lynn Corbett of Casper, WY., plus several cousins, nieces and nephews.
