Katheryn R. Bailey

Kathryn Rose Haggy was born on November 28, 1945 to Neal and Bobbie Haggy in Santa Monica, California. The family later moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma where Kathy attended Soldier Creek Elementary and Monroney Junior High. She graduated from Midwest City High School in 1964.

She met Howard Bailey while they were in Junior High and married on July 11,1964. They made their home in Midwest City and Choctaw after they married. They had 3 daughters, Shera (Bailey) Floyd, married to Bill Floyd; Krista (Bailey) Peters, married to Scott Peters, and Gayla (Bailey) Gonzalez, married to Tony Gonzalez.

Kathy retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission in 2007 after 30 years of service. She made many lifelong friends while working there, many of whom she is still friends with today. She was an avid Nascar fan, loved garage sales and shopping. She was generous to all that she knew and never wanted anyone she knew to go without.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard Bailey; daughters Shera and Bill Floyd, Krista and Scott Peters, and Gayla and Tony Gonzalez; grandchildren Christopher and Christa Neasbitt, Brandi and Logan Bronniman, Karis and Cody Kelton, Justin and Hollie Floyd, Jacob Gonzalez, Cody Douglas, Jarod and Rachel Gonzalez, and Caroline Gonzalez: great grandchildren Teagan Neasbitt, Jace and Reid Bronniman, and Huxley Kelton.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31st at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2022 at the Bill Eisenhour Chapel with burial to follow in Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery, 3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
