Growing up Justin loved to bowl, and from 6 to 8 years old he was in a bowling league in NW Oklahoma City. During his time on the league he earned many trophies. Justin’s love of bowling carried on throughout his life, as he would bowl every chance he got.
Justin also played T-ball, touch football, and basketball in his younger years. When he was 10 years old he joined a basketball league for the Mustang Lazers and played with them from 1999—2000. Justin was a member of the Cub Scouts, earning many badges during his time. He also took Karate and earned all the way up to his green belt. Being the active person he was he also enjoyed running. He competed in the Stampede Run during “Western Days” where he would run the 1-mile competition. Justin came in 1st place in this race two years in a row, receiving medals each time.
Justin played football his freshman year at Mustang High School, where he would later graduate from. Following this he met Brittany Michelle Smith, and on October 20th, 2020 the two were engaged in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together the two brought to the world their Son, Jaxon Glenn Mashburn. Jaxon was the world to Justin. He loved being a Dad, and everything it entailed. The family fondly remembers Justin dressing up as the Easter Bunny every year, no matter how hot the costume would be, just to make Jaxon smile and to create lasting happy memories the family still cherish to this day.
Justin worked in the oilfield for 12 years, he also worked as a delivery driver for 3M Medical Supply Company, and Triple Diamond Roofing. He had a real passion for bowling and shooting pool, as well as fishing and target shooting. Justin enjoyed watching the OU Sooners play during football season, and then the Thunder during basketball season. He always looked forward to family get-togethers at Mom's because she would make him his favorite, homemade brownies. Above all else though, he loved his family and being a Dad.
