Judith was the daughter of J.F. Anderson and Mary (Strong) Anderson and was born on September 27, 1936 in Ft. Worth, TX. She loved horses and spent countless hours feeding, grooming, training, and showing them. She was a talented artist and often drew detailed pictures of equine movements and musculature. She favored American Saddlebred and Tennessee Walking Horses.
Judith attended Texas Christian University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts Degree in Microbiology in 1960. She was a member of the Kappa Delta and Alpha Epsilon Iota sororities, the American Society of Microbiology, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Judith’s sparkling hazel eyes and her love of horses caught the eye of a West Point graduate and a short time later she married Colonel Alfred V. Walton. She assumed the role of Air Force wife and step-mother to his three children. Judith and Alfred soon expanded their family with the addition of two daughters. Following Alfred’s discharge from the service, the family relocated to Shattuck, OK in 1968. They built a working cattle ranch alongside other members of the Walton family on their historical Oklahoma land. Alfred passed away in 2005.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents JF and Mary Walton, and the love of her life Col. Alfred V. Walton.
