John Pearson Keller was born in Oklahoma City on May 23, 1956, and passed away in Edmond, Oklahoma, on September 29, 2022. John was preceded in death by his wife, Christy Keller, his mother, Nannie-Clair Keller, his father Glenn Keller, and his nephew Adam Keller. He leaves behind his loving sister and brother, Nanette Forth and Al Keller, in laws Mike Forth and Marsha Keller, as well as many nieces and nephews, grand nieces, and nephews. John was dearly loved by his whole family. His friends also adored him, and he was respected by business associates. Many friends and business associates say he felt like a brother to them.
John was a lifelong Oklahoman. He graduated from Heritage Hall School, the University of Oklahoma, and later graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
John spent much of his career in the oil and gas industry where he worked for Kaiser Francis Oil Company and Chesapeake Energy Corporation among others, as well as providing consulting services during his later years.
John loved OU football and the Dallas Cowboys. He had a passion for trains and curated a large collection of miniature trains. John had an impressive miniature train track in his game room complete with tracks, trains, a caboose, and a lovely train station. He was quite the collector. John loved horseracing, and he had fun at Riverwind Casino. In recent years, though, his greatest passion was his beloved companion – Kai, his German Shephard.
John had an infectious laugh, a clever wit, and a sometimes-frustrating stubborn streak. When he laughed, it was for real. Rest well in heaven. Love, your family.
To celebrate John’s life the family will be receiving guests at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00pm, Thursday, October 6, 2022.
