Jo Lou Flynn

Jo was born in Enid, Oklahoma on November 20, 1951. She graduated from John Marshall High School. On July 17, 1976 she married the love of her life, Michael Flynn. This year they would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. Jo worked professionally in the floral business for many years at American Floral Services.

Jo was a fun loving person with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved a good game of bridge or darts. She was even part of a competitive dart league with her husband and close friends. Jo was a free spirit, very independent and danced to the beat of her own drum. She took pride in raising her two children and helping take care of her grandchildren. She chose to retire early to be available for her grandkids, resulting in some of her most cherished days. She spent many days and nights watching them, playing with them, going to sporting events, etc. Being called MeMe was her favorite. While Jo battled illnesses later in life, she never lost sight of her love for those closest to her.

Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Flynn, mother, Lucille Gibbs, father, Johnny Boyles(died in 1958), adoptive father, Paul Gibbs, brother, Keith Gibbs. She is survived by her son, Chris Flynn, daughter, Jessica Brown, grandchildren, Daniel, Bailey, Deante and wife Sadie, Daylin and Jaida, and great grandchildren, Alexis, Sylis, Elsie, and Ulani.

A private family service will be held for Jo at Memorial Park Cemetery.
