Jimmie Luster passed peacefully from his earthly home on May 5, 2010 surrounded by his family. He was born October 18, 1915 and lived his life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jimmie worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas for 37 years before retiring. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. Jimmie was a member of the Moose Lodge, where he had many friends. He had an inspiring passion for dancing and was two stepping until the end. Jimmie loved spending time at his cabin on Lake Tenkiller where he knew all the best fishing holes and rarely failed to bring in a big one. Jimmie loved his family and instilled in his grandchildren a love of the outdoors, boating and fishing, including how to bait a hook.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Beulah Sue Luster; his brother, Henry Luster, Sr. and his wife, Helen.
Jimmie is survived by his son, Eddie Luster and wife, Jo, of Oklahoma City; grandson, Paul Luster, of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Gina Regan, of Seattle, Washington and Mindy Barker of Oklahoma City and Cindy Volke, of Austin, Texas; great grandchildren, Timothy Barker, Blake Barker, Jillian Barker, Ashley Matheson, Dillon Volke and Zoey Volke; great-great grandson, Tanner Matheson; former daughter-in-law, Georgiana Stewart; nieces, Paula Jean Freeman, Susan Witte, Mary Kay Hardel, Pat Franklin and Connie Curren; and nephews, Greg Haught and Henry Luster, Jr.
Jimmie lead a full and active life and leaves behind a host of friends and family who will miss his fun loving personality.
