Jackie Jordan

She was born to parents George and Frances Endicott in Newkirk, OK and went on to graduate from Newkirk High School. Furthering her education she attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Following this she attended the University of Oklahoma, where she met and married Ivan Smith, who preceded her in death in 1970. She would later attend Idaho State University where she would earn her B.A. in Sociology before returning back home to Oklahoma.

Jackie made a career working for the State of Oklahoma as a disability examiner for Social Security, which she did for many years. In 1992 she married Herschel Jordan, who passed in 2008. Jackie enjoyed playing bridge, and was known to have a passion for reading. She was also a long-time supporter of the City Rescue Mission. Above all else Jackie loved her family, and greatly enjoyed spending time with them.

Jackie was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Edwards, in 2015.

Jackie is survived by her sons, Lonnie Smith and wife Kim, Michael Smith, Steven Smith and wife Mitzi, Wesley Smith and wife Lesa, and Douglas Smith; Grandchildren, Laura, Chloe, Katie, Jared, Jordan, Jacob, Jana, Conner, and Dylan; Great-Grandchildren, Poppy, Wren, and Soren.

A public visitation will be held for Jackie from 3:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at Memorial Park Funeral Home with family accepting guests from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at Memorial Park’s Historic Cemetery Chapel with burial to follow a catered reception at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jackie’s honor to the City Rescue Mission, or to a charity of your choice.

Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Villaneuva, Jared Smith, Conner Smith, Dylan Smith, Paul Edwards and Chris Hawk.
