Hazel Jean Foley, 92, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024. She was born on March 24, 1932, in Berryville, Arkansas, to loving parents and spent her early years in the natural beauty of the Ozarks before moving to California. Hazel graduated from Watsonville High School, where she began building the foundation for a life filled with love, family, and purpose.
On May 8, 1954, Hazel married the love of her life, James Foley, and together they raised a family, sharing many wonderful years of companionship, laughter, and support. Hazel was devoted to her family and worked tirelessly to provide for them, having a long career as a bank teller with both Wells Fargo and Bank of America.
Hazel was a woman of many interests and passions. She was an avid reader who loved to lose herself in a good book and was always eager to learn something new. Her spirit of curiosity extended to her love for sports, and she was a dedicated fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
Hazel’s legacy is carried on by her four children: Rhonda Jongsma and husband Mark, Tim Foley and wife Julia, David Foley and wife Denise, and Tammy Langowski and husband Greg; her grandchildren: Jimmy Foley, Sarah Foley, Jennifer Foley, Chris Foley, Trevor Langowski, and Clarrissa Langowski; and her siblings, Fred Burks and Sue Carmack. Hazel’s warm heart, gentle nature, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Album Quail Springs, 14201 N. Kentucky Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73134.
