Harold L. Griffith, Jr., 95 was welcomed into his heavenly home August 1, 2014, peacefully, with his family at his side. Harold was born in Cushing, Oklahoma and lived out his life in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Central High School and Hills Business College. He proudly served in the US Navy at Guam during WWII. After the war he worked at his stepfather’s mobile home business across the street from the state capital building. He later brought the business and moved it to Highway 66 in Bethany, Oklahoma. He renamed the business Brassfield Travel Trailers because they were now selling recreational vehicles. He grew the business to be one of the top Airstream trailer dealerships in the country. In 1983 he sold the business and traveled extensively, with his wife, in their Airstream and around the world. Harold was a bold believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ and always willing to share it. He was a long time deacon at Olivet Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and in many other capacities. He loved his church and was there at every opportunity. Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Albertine and their oldest son David W. Griffith. Harold is survived by his son Thomas A. Griffith and wife Darla of the city, daughter Cynthia L. Davis and husband Steve of Tulsa and daughter-in-law Patricia Griffith of Tulsa, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He loved to meet people and learn about them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on August 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olivet Baptist Church ministries in Oklahoma City.
