Glen Claude Brady was born September 11, 1932, to Ernest V. and Ellen G. (McLemore) Brady in Detroit, Michigan. Glen served in the Navy Reserve before joining the US Air Force in 1951 and was stationed at Laon Air Base France. He was in the 126th and 38th Bomb Wings as an Air Policeman. He also was involved in their reunions. He worked for Western Electric and AT & T for 34 years before retiring in 1991. Glen was a member of Mosaic Church. He enjoyed his Saturday’s watching OU football and eating summer sausage, cheese and anything spicy.
He went with his wife, son and friends to Europe eleven times, ten times to visit his old base and friends at Laon Friends. He was also a member of the IBEW and served as President and other offices of the Union that represented WE and the AT&T plant in OKC.
He was born with his twin sister Betty, his oldest brother Jack who was killed in WWII, another brother Jim who also served in WWII and two other sisters Mary and Mellie who have all passed away. Glen married Janet C. Baker and they had two children Lea and Ernest Brady; grandchildren Emily, Jeremy, Christina, Joe, Brandey, Brittaney, Donald, Stephanie, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, May 27th from 9 am to 8 pm. A service to celebrate Glen’s life will be held 10 am, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
