George W. McKinney, III, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away February 10, 2016 surrounded by his wife and daughters. He was born November 14, 1951 in Coalgate, Oklahoma to George W. and Rose (Jeannotte) McKinney. George grew up in the Choctaw, Oklahoma area and graduated from Choctaw High School. He was a member of the Spencer Road Freewill Baptist Church. George was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing and loved fishing and hunting. Family was very important to him and he leaves no doubt in the minds of his family that they were dearly loved . He adored his wife, children and grandchildren and held a special place in his heart for all of his family members. George loved the Lord and felt so humbled by the blessings and forgiveness that God provided to him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Desma; daughters, Jennifer McKinney, Tiffany Sellers and husband Jeremy, Dana Newell and husband Seth, and Shannon McCroskey and husband Jay; grandchildren, Tanner, Chloe, Yana, Kennedy, Corbin, Luke, Jameson, Shelby and Benjamin; parents, George Jr. and Rose McKinney; brothers and sisters, Earl McKinney, Amber Sawyer and husband Larry, Patty Rule and husband Tom, Michael McKinney, Cindy Anderson and husband Danny, Danny McKinney and wife Linda, Avis Hamilton and husband Glen, sister-in-law Myra Mabray and husband David, brother-in-law Scot Posey and wife Sandy; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. George was preceded in death by his grandchild, Asa Sellers and nephews, Kyle Rule, Travis McKinney and Blake McKinney.
