Esther Virginia Slack, 83, passed away on August 29, 2019 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born August 25, 1936 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, she was the daughter of George Arnold and Clara (Crowe) Arnold. Esther was a homemaker. She loved working with beads and leather to make beautiful keychains, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, playing Solitaire, and was a bowling fan as she loved to watch Walter bowl. Esther was a collector of all manner of frog figurines and memorabilia. Green was her favorite color. Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Clara Arnold, two brothers, and three sisters. Survivors include her loving husband of many years, Walter Slack, Jr. of the home, one son, Nelson Slack of the home, three daughters, Joyce and her husband Leonard Sparks of Midwest City, OK, Debra Mankin of Nicoma Park, OK, and Sandra Jean and her husband David Alldredge of Oklahoma City, OK, 4 grandchildren, Craig Mankin, Eric Mankin, Sonja Sparks, and Tara Sparks, many nieces and nephews, and her pet cat, “Boyfriend”. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
