Eliot was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He moved to Norman at the ripe age of 17 to attend the University of Oklahoma for undergrad, where he met the mother of his three children, Esther Stephenson.
Eliot became a proud member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity where he made many close connections that lasted a lifetime. He learned to forge strong friendships, a skill he honed during his time in Oklahoma.
Eliot went on to pursue a rewarding career in law, graduating from Oklahoma City University in 1980. He was a founding member of the Oklahoma City Commercial Law Attorneys Association. Recently, he confidently passed the torch of his established practice to his eldest daughter, Shayna. He was elated with the individual successes of all his children.
When Eliot wasn’t cheering on OU football, trying out a new ice cream recipe or telling bad ‘dad’ jokes, he was very active in philanthropy. He earned a life member achievement for his long-standing membership and work with Kiwanis Club. He also enjoyed participating at Temple B’nai Israel’s Brotherhood events, especially when he could tout his culinary or poker playing prowess.
Eliot held many important titles during his lifetime but none as important to him as son, father, brother and friend, as well as his family’s personal favorites; Papa E, Daddio and Wisea**. Above all, Eliot cared for his children and his grandchildren. He will be missed by many, but his sense of humor will live on, whether that’s good or bad.
Eliot is survived by all three of his children; his daughter, Shayna, and her husband, Zach Turner, his daughter, Michelle, and her husband, Justin Brown, his son, Andrew, and his fiancée, Alexandria Ballard; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Scarlett and Holden Turner. Numerous cousins in New York and Washington also survive him.
Eliot is preceded in death by his parents; Daniel and Barbara Gail Feiler; his beloved younger brother, Jay Perry Feiler; his uncle, Seymour Feiler; his uncle and aunt, Harry and Bernice Goldman.
