Donna K. Hicks

Donna K. Hicks, 71 year-old resident of Jones, Oklahoma, passed away March 3, 2015 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born November 28, 1943 in Jones, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Shirley W. Hardaker and Aleta Moore Hardaker. Donna was a lifelong resident of the Jones, Oklahoma area. She was an active member of the Choctaw United Methodist Church and could always be seen at her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. She loved fishing; working crossword puzzles; putting jigsaw puzzles together; crocheting; and playing card games. Watching hummingbirds was a favorite pastime both at the lake and at home. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Kenneth Hicks. Survivors include 4 sons, Terry Hicks and Jerry Hicks, both of Del City, Oklahoma; Chris and his wife Darlene Hicks of Chandler, Oklahoma; and Todd and his wife Tammy Hicks of Newalla, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Debbie Short of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Bill and his wife Marty Hardaker of Jones, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Beverly Lawson of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 with Reverend Andy James officiating. Burial will follow in Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma.
