Delphia Kathleen Woodruff was ushered into the presence of her Lord and husband on February 3, 2022 at 1:02 p.m. Kathy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 31, 1949 to Gertrude Bay and Harry S. Timmons. She married the love of her life, Paul Woodruff, on August 6, 1965, and from that day forward, they built a beautiful life together.
Becoming a mother was one of Kathy’s greatest joys. She gave birth to four children, but was considered “mom” to many more. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her by multiple names – Sassy, Memaw, Honey, and Grandma. She wore those titles proudly, as well as the title of Aunt Kathy to her nieces and nephews.
In her presence, you always felt welcome and wanted. Expect to be greeted with a huge hug and a big kiss. She had love for all. Her smile was contagious and her influence over her loved ones will last a lifetime. She was considered “the rock” of her family and will be dearly missed.
Kathy enjoyed many things in life. She loved to travel. She had many adventures with Angie, Erin, and Crystal. She loved long conversations with her son, Paul, and trips to Texas to visit her family. She would never pass dinner at Shannon’s, as long as Jim was cooking. If a grandchild had a sporting event, she wanted to be there. She hosted many family get-togethers where you could expect lots of food, laughter, and a good game of volleyball. Her family was the center of her life, and she loved them dearly.
She leaves behind four sons, five daughters, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and many nieces and nephews. She left this world how she wanted – at home, with her family surrounding her. She was ready to fall into the arms of her savior, and spend eternity rejoicing with her husband. Her memory will last forever, and we will carry her love in our hearts always.
A visitation for Kathy will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
