David Warren Rader

David Warren Rader passed into eternal life on Saturday, March 19, 2022, one year and almost three weeks after his wife Susan. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 12, 1952 to Melvin H. and Nina J. Rader.

David’s father was an accomplished US Air Force Flight Engineer and Instructor; thus, the family moved several times across the United States. David joined the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the penultimate rank of Life as well as being inducted into the Order of the Arrow.

Receiving a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design, David became a licensed architect and worked on various design projects throughout his career. He never retired and was employed by Renaissance Architects & Engineers until he was unable to work due to illness a few weeks before his death.

Susan Adele Strawn married David on March 11, 1989 and gave birth to their daughter Hayley on September 17, 1990. The family were active members of Trinity Baptist Church and lived in Yukon, Oklahoma. They enjoyed classic horror and science fiction films together and loved to study Biblical science and history.

An avid locomotive enthusiast, David built his own custom train and model display in his Hayley’s bedroom after she moved out. He was a huge fan of Star Trek, the British television series Thunderbirds, and was known for being a Batman afficionado. He was also known for his 1969 Mach 1 Mustang.

Most importantly, David was a devout Christian and honorably led his family with Biblical principles. He was a silent servant and secret philanthropist, always willing to help a neighbor in need.

David is survived by his daughter Hayley E. Boothe; brother Brian Rader; sisters Denise Williams and Brenda Robinson; and 10 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for David will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 1:30 PM at Trinity Baptist Church, 620 N. Cemetery Road, Yukon, OK 73099.
