David Penn

David Penn was born December 4, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was one of seven children. David completed his early education in OKC and graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in 1967. He enlisted into the military where he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was employed at the FAA for 22 years before his retirement in 2011. On February 15, 1991, David and Janice Johnson were married and to this union was born twins, but he made an incredible difference in the lives of many others. He was always encouraging and kept his feet planted firmly so that his “children” had room to soar. David took flight for his heavenly home, Saturday, January 12, 2013. He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy, his wife Jan; children, Tommy Bledsoe, Ebony Ezzhani, Jasmine (David) Parker, and Lauren and Lindsey Penn; his mother, Lois Slaughter; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
