Colleen Olivia Forducey Dugan was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma on February 14, 1941 to Edd Forducey and Mae Cohlmia Forducey. She passed on January 19, 2021 in Oklahoma City. She attended school in Kingfisher, Oklahoma until her family moved to Oklahoma City, where she graduated from John Marshall High School. She always bragged about being a star catcher in softball at Kingfisher.
She was a homemaker and owned her own western wear and shoe repair business in Yukon, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing cards, and drinking coffee with her friends. She was in the same bridge club for over 50 years. Two of her proudest moments were when her youngest daughter, Janet, was chosen as Special Olympian of the Year for Oklahoma and was selected to attend the National Special Olympics as a swimmer and when her oldest daughter, Mechell, became an elementary principal for Dibble Elementary. Collen was also a charter member of the Westside Christian Church and was a member of the Yukon Moose Lodge.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Dugan of Warr Acres, Mechell Prince and husband Mark of Blanchard, Oklahoma, sister, Joan Bell of Oklahoma City, sister Sharon Bruin of Mesquite, Nevada and sister-in-law Ellen Crain of Phoenix, Arizona. Grandchildren, Kayla Anderson and John of Yukon, Mark Weldon-Prince and Veronica and Jesse Ann Prince of Norman. Nieces, Pam Forducey Igo and husband Jim, Stephanie Garver and husband Tracey, D'Ann Buettner, Margaret Buettner of Oklahoma City and Cathy Crain of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as, six great grandchildren and three great nieces and nephews, whom she loved very dearly and was loved in return. Colleen was proceeded in death by her father, Edd Forducey, mother Mae Forducey, brother Eddie Forducey, Jr. and sister, Janet Ashton.
Colleen was at the University of Texas Southwestern Surgical ICU for three months, where she loved all the nurses, but in particular, Ashley who visited with her daily and Dr. Baig, who gave us an additional three months with her. Their kindness and compassionate care will not long be forgotten.
