Cherie Jean Henderson (formerly Robinson) 81, of Oklahoma City entered Heaven Monday, June 2nd, 2014. She was born in Oklahoma City to the late Albert James and Lavada Lucille Robinson. She graduated from Central High School in 1950. Cherie was devoted to her family, caring for her mother until she passed away, doted on her grandchildren, and was passionate about many local causes. She retired from C.L. Frates as a Bond Underwriter in 2007. She served as President of the Surety Association for many years. Cherie is preceded in death by her sister, Dean Ross, and husband Robert Roy Henderson. She will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends, including her brother, Robert James Robinson and his wife Shirley Robinson, her four daughters, Deborah Simpson, Cindy Mericle, Linda Collins, and Cherie Hart, their husbands, 7 grandchildren, Amber Fankhouser, Brian Sparks, Christopher Mericle, Nicole Mericle, Colton Selvidge, Courtney Hart, Thomas Mericle, her great granddaughter Lyndee Fankhouser, and her nephew John Ross and his family. Cherie loved gardening, crafts, cake designing, all the Holidays, and her family! Visitation will be held at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper from 5-8pm on Friday, June 6th. Funeral Services will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 7th at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper with Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Library at the Waterford Marriott. Arrangements under the direction of Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors, Oklahoma City, OK.
