She was born in Oilton, Oklahoma on February 10th, 1945 to parents Jim and Maxine South. She graduated from John Marshall High School, followed by a successful career at Seagate Computers. On April 27, 1973, Charlotte married Richard T. Wylie.
She loved traveling and taking RV trips with her grandchildren. She spent many happy summers at their cabin on Lake Eufaula with her family. She enjoyed cooking and would make meals for family and friends. Charlotte’s favorite singer was Elvis Presley. Charlotte also had an adventurous side, as she loved riding seadoo’s with her dog in the summertime.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, Richard T. Wylie; Children, Tim Don Henslee, Gaylien Marie LaGasse, and Andrew Woodrow Wylie; Grandchildren, Cody Gene Henslee, Lauren Wylie Buchalla, Emily Miller Buchalla, Logan Lee LaGasse, Landon Lee LaGasse, and Kaeylarae Wylie; Siblings, Sharon Burt and Rocky South.
A visitation for Charlotte will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. A graveside service will occur Sunday, October 23, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
Charlotte will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73131.
