Cecil Jackson Quick, 87 year-old resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma passed away July 19, 2017 Midwest City, Oklahoma. Born February 27, 1930 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, he was the son of Andrew Jackson Quick and Hattie Janette (Brown) Quick. Cecil was a longtime aircraft mechanic at Tinker AFB. He loved fishing; being with his family especially grandchildren; going to garage sales; and “Tinkering” with things both inventing and fixing. Cecil was a longtime member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw. Preceding him in death were his parents, 1 son Cecil Alton Quick; 1 granddaughter, Faith Wade; and 3 siblings, Opal Dunn; Tom Quick; and Catherine Rise. Survivors include his wife of many years, Dora Quick of the home; 2 children, Eva and her husband Terry Hedger of Wilson, Oklahoma; and Jacquita and her husband Paul Parker of Choctaw, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Shauna Wortman; Christopher Stone; and Caila Jantzen; many great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Joyce Dial of Royse City, Texas; Edna Mae Slate of Purcell, Oklahoma; and Marie Bredwell of Englewood, TN; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw, 2700 Main St., Choctaw, OK 73020 with burial to follow Military Honors rendered by a U. S. Air Force Honors Detail at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
