Barbara Anne Dunn Wolfe died peacefully on November 23, 2015 after a brief illness in the comfort of her home with the love and support of her children. She was born in Bargersville, Indiana to Gordon R. and Martha Terrill Dunn on February 20, 1925. Barbara graduated from Center Grove High School and attended Indiana University where she earned a degree in education and was a member of Pi Beta Phi women’s fraternity. She married William R. (Bill) Wolfe on June 19, 1949 and they were fortunate to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 1999. Barbara taught a number of years, the majority of which were spent teaching adults at Oklahoma City’s Opportunities Industrialization Center. Barbara was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (Clyde Harrison Sunday school class), a founding member of the Oklahoma City Geophysical Society’s Women’s Auxiliary, a volunteer of 36 years at Mercy Hospital and an avid bridge player. She enjoyed the Arts and traveling with her family and friends. Barbara will be remembered as a woman of great faith, strength, and compassion and as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by her family and many friends near and far. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents and her younger sister Elgie. Barbara is survived by her brother, Gordon (Dolores) Dunn of Franklin, IN; her children, Gary Wolfe of Corvallis, OR, Deborah Wolfe of Oklahoma City, Terri (Bob) Tugel of Avon, NY; her grandchildren, Jordyn (Sam) Nagle of Portland, OR, Katy (Mark) Blye of Corvallis, OR, Ian Weisman of Portland, OR, Zachary Wolfe of Corvallis, OR, Sean (Mara) Tugel of Lexington, KY, and Sarah Tugel of New York, NY and great-grandchildren Kendall and Avery Blye and Pearl and Dakota Nagel. Visiting hours will be December 6th, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Hahn Cook, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 p.m. on December 7, 2015, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 222 N.W. 15th St., Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a gift to the stained glass restoration project at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
