Ann H. Hart was born September 18, 1935, and raised in Ada, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ada High School in 1953 and earned a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma in 1956. She began her teaching career in the Putnam City School District as a second-grade teacher at Coronado Heights Elementary. After receiving her Master in Guidance and Counseling, she continued as an eighth-grade counselor at Hefner Middle School.
In 1977, Ann moved with her husband, Donald L. Hart Jr., to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she utilized her education background to begin a career in human resources with United New Mexico Bank at Albuquerque. As the bank launched into acquisitions, she helped guide the process as vice president and director of human resources for both United New Mexico at Albuquerque and Financial Corporation. Moving back to Oklahoma City, Ann continued her career, opening the independent contracting firm Human Resources, Inc. before finally retiring in the late 1990s.
Ann cherished the people she met during college and her early career, cultivating lifelong relationships. She loved OU football and attended every home game, including the OU-Texas games. She enjoyed friends, family and exploring exotic locales; frequently combining these during her and Don’s extensive travels which included Hong Kong, Europe, Japan, Australia, China and Russia. They vacationed in Mexico every year, always bringing friends and family to share in good food and fun times.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, you showcased how to stay youthful with your love of friends, your exuberance for experiences, and your eye for fashion.
Survivors include daughter Kim Falk and husband Mark, daughter Kay Mathias, grandchildren Nick Mathias, Kiley Faily and husband Jesse, Kori Reid and husband Austin, great granddaughters Emersyn and Harper Faily, future great grandson Everett Reid.
Ann will be missed but not forgotten.
