Aaron “Joe” Joseph Fraser passed away on January 7, 2024 at the age of 54. He was born on July 10, 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona to William Fraser and Glenda Owens although he was raised by his grandmother, Louise Gay, for most of his life.
Joe was a hard worker and he heard his nations call, courageously joining the U.S Army. Once Joe’s contract was up, he didn’t separate, instead he joined the Air National Guard, serving a tour in Afghanistan. Joe also served his county in a different perspective, working for the U.S Postal Service. Later, Joe kept our birds in the sky, working as an electrician on the B-52 military aircraft for Tinker AFB. Joe was able to retired from his military services after 21 years.
Although he worked hard, Joe played hard too. He loved golfing, fishing, having a beer and watching Dallas or Sooner football, or listening to music. Joe had hundreds of CD’s, and family can attest that his OCD kept his CD collection, and his home, spic and span. Often times, when family would come visit, he could be caught blaring Alabama, George Straight, Hank Jr., or Waylon Jennings. Above all things, Joe loved his family and the love of his life, Cyndi Owens. Brittany was his biggest inspiration and on February 13, 1997, he was granted sole custody in what they affectionately referred to as her “gotcha date”. Every year, on February 13, Joe would pick up a gift and take Brittany on a “dinner date” to celebrate.
Joe is survived by his parents, William and Glenda; daughter, Brittany Fraser; grandchildren, Jerrika, Haylee, and Railyn Banks; siblings (who he would joking call his “sisters”) Robert Yoakum, Billy Fraser, Nadia Zuraff, and Billy Zuraff; honorary siblings, Peggy and Bill Landcaster; nieces and nephews, Billie Jolee Zuraff, Ryan Zuraff, Seven Swenson, and Brian Johnson; cousin, Shawn Hand; and best friends, Donnie Stahl, Nick Blanch, and Charlie Jamerson.
Joe is preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Gay; Aunt and Uncle, Forest and Virginia Hand; cousins, Jimmy Pymm, Leann and Mike Hand; and family friend, George and Patty Linze.
