Teresa A. Ward

Teresa A. Ward, 52, of Ogdensburg passed away on Monday morning (December 27, 2021) at her home with her husband by her side. Honoring her wishes, there will be no public funeral services held at this time.

Teresa was born on April 16, 1969 to the late Dr. Richard and Marion (Wendlend) Ward in Ogdensburg, NY. She attended Ogdensburg area schools and graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1987 and BOCES Northwest Tech, with a certificate as a nurse aid. She married Jamie Hazelton on April 14, 2014 at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Deacon Spike Bateman officiating.

During her working career, she was employed at United Helpers Nursing Home in Ogdensburg as an aid and later at Good Beginnings Day Care for 5 years. Teresa was an avid reader who enjoyed writing, drawing, coloring, listening to all kinds of music, going to her family’s camp on the St. Lawrence River, spending time with her husband and playing with her cats. She was a strong willed woman who will be missed.

She is survived by her husband Jamie Ward of Ogdensburg, brothers Richard (Cheryl) Brassard of Ogdensburg, Patrick Ward of Madrid, and Paul Ward of Ogdensburg, and a sister Catherine Hamblin of Avon, NY, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
