June Moore Fletcher 87, died on Monday, January 20, 2020 at her home in Paris, TX. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Moore Fletcher and Steven Scott Fletcher; two daughters-in-law, Anita and Carla; six grandchildren, Stormi, Christopher, Brenton, Alexandria, Nathan, and Ashley; two great-grandchildren, Adrian and Alarah; one sister, Betty Biggs and husband, Bill; and Donna Green. She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Steven Fletcher and a daughter-in-law, Amy Fletcher.
Mrs. Fletcher was born on June 21, 1932 in New York City, New York, the daughter of Dean Howard and June Wouters Moore. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York in 1954. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, on the board of Big Brothers & Big sisters in Paris for two years, taught a Bible Study at the Agape House for many years, secretary at Faith Presbyterian Church for 18 years, a choir member at First Baptist Church for over 25 years, went on eight mission trips, and was the Welcome Hostess for 20 years welcoming over 5,000 newcomers to the Paris area.
Her greatest joy was sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 24, 2020 at First Baptist Church in TX. She will be buried in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammond, New York in the spring under the care of Fox & Murray Funeral Home, Ogdensburg, NY.
