Thomas Argene Hodge

Thomas Argene Hodge, 79, of Odessa passed away at Hospice House of Midland.

He was born in Abilene, Texas to Homer and Armine Nesmith Hodge, Sr.

He served in the Army four years. He was owner and operator of Ector Theatre for many years in addition to many other Theatres in town. He was a member of Odessa Downtown’s Lions Club for 38 years, and served as secretary for the club for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son, David Martin, daughter, Linda Hodge, sister, Frances Collins, and a brother, Homer Hodge.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Hodge, children, Lisa Hodge of Odessa, Jeanie Talley of Austin, Leslie Martin of Odessa, Ronda Davis of Andrews, Sammy Wright of Austin, 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Lynn Money officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
