Silbestre “Chevy” M. Diaz. age 77, of Denver City, Texas, passed away at Medical Center Hospital, on Thursday August 16, 2018. He was born December 30, 1940 in Colorado City, Texas to Modesto Diaz and Angelita Marmolejo Diaz. Chevy worked for Eddis Walcher for 35 years and was of the Jehovas Witness faith. He married Lydia Granado September 12, 1988 in Denver City Texas.
Chevy is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Terry Cornejo and brother Johnny Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife Lydia Diaz of Denver City, Texas. four daughters Diane Westbrook of Austin, Texas, Angela Martinez of Kerrville, Texas, Rebecca Diaz and Penny Adams both of LaGrange, Texas. two sons Daniel Diaz of Midland, Texas and David Pete Diaz of Kerrville, Texas. He is also survived by two sisters Janie Long of Seminole, Texas and Maria Castillo of Odessa, Texas, Chevy is also survived by 12 grandchildren and extended great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 22, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home. 1700 N. Jackson Odessa, Texas.
Funeral services are set for 10 am Thursday August 23, 2018 at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ramiro Bravo officiating.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Odessa II section.
