Sidney Frank Hughes

He was born April 25, 1944, in Odessa to Henry Otte and Josie Mae Hughes. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1963. He attended Sul Ross University for 3 ½ years in pursuit of a degree in Business and agriculture. He married Marsha Lynn Wallum August 26, 1966, in Odessa. He worked for Fitz Torque Converters Inc. He was a member of the Circle J Cowboy Church.

He is preceded in death by his father Henry Otte Hughes.

He is survived by his wife the love of his life. Marsha Lynn Hughes of Odessa; mother Josie Mae Quain Hughes of Odessa; son Ryon Neil Hughes and wife Crystal of Odessa; daughter Trina Page Hughes of Irving, TX; brother Carroll Hughes of Odessa; four grandchildren, Cody Hughes and wife Candace, Keely Nixon and husband Taylor, Karly Hughes and Jacob Hughes; and future great-grandson Corbin Lane Hughes, childhood best friend Parker George and all of his horse riding buddies, especially Doyle Stowe.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dave Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
