Ralph Langston, age 96, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, October 14. He was born January 27, 1926 in Neches, TX to K.C. and Leonette Langston. Ralph served in the army during World War II. He graduated from ENMU and began his 30 year coaching and teaching career in Odessa. He served as a deacon, elder and charter member of Saint Paul Presbyterian Church and later at Saint Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
With his many skills, he actively helped maintain his churches. Ralph enjoyed carpentry, hunting for arrowheads, fishing, hunting, playing cards and in his later years playing bingo at senior citizens center. He happily spent hours building our getaway home on his Coleman county property and working with his tractor. He loved to relate his fishing stories and sharing his fish during backyard cookouts for family and friends. Ralph also loved showing his arrowhead display. His many former students’ recognition delighted him.
Ralph is predeceased by his seven siblings, grandson Eddie Chance and son-in-law Michael Chance.
Ralph is survived by his wife Betty of 69 years, daughters Cathy Chance and Jon Stepp, Suzie White, Beth Stanton and husband Eddie, granddaughter Mandy Stanton, grandson Brandon Stanton and wife Alaina.

The memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 18 at 10 AM officiated by Jimmy Braswell at Saint Andrew Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1415 N. Grandview Ave, Odessa, TX.
