MARY ANN KETTLER SAUER Your life of sorrow, heartache and loneliness taught us about the love, service, and wisdom which you chose to embrace and give so freely to us and our families. We will miss your spiritual warrior lessons, we will miss your theology tidbits, we will miss your novenas of the blessed lady, Mother Mary, we will miss your boldness in faith and we will miss your toasted sopapillas with honey! We give thanks Jesus Christ Our Lord for the immense blessing you bestowed on us in the life of a mother, grandmother, and friend, MaryAnn Sauer. You will be missed at Friendship on Monday nights, your Friendship Group in Christ, Darla Tilghman, Rosa Mendoza, Rachel Orona, Karina Ornelas Hernandez, Mabel Morales, Cathy O’Reilly, Sheila Salazar, Imelda Loya, Christina Mendoza, and Patricia Garcia. Mary Ann Kettler Sauer, age 82, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born May 25, 1934, in Helena, Ark., to Edward and Lillian Kettler. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers John, William, and George. She is survived by her children Chris, Barbara, Michael, Teresa, John and Thomas and also 5 grandchildren. MaryAnn was a devout Catholic and attended St Mary’s Catholic Church. She devoted her life to serving others in need on a daily basis. The Youth Alternative Center, Kairos (prison ministry), The Cursillo Movement of the Diocese of San Angelo, TX, Master Gardeners, St Mary’s Adoration Chapel, St Mary’s School, Catholic Charities just to name a few. We will celebrate her life beginning with a Rosary which will be said on Friday, August 26, 2016, at 7:00pm, St. Mary Catholic Church, in Odessa. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 2:00pm, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, in Odessa, with Father Hilary and Father Woodruff officiating. The family of MaryAnn and MaryAnn’s Friendship Group wishes to thank all of the special care angels at Medical Center Hospital who gave special care with the utmost in dignity and compassion.
