Katelynn Marie Akers

Katelynn made her presence known wherever she was. She was loud, outgoing, silly, fun, and loved in her own unique way. She loved to play video games, listen to music, awkwardly sing, and dance. Going to the bowling alley with her daddy was one of her favorite things to do until she gained the hobby of “Fortnite with friends” as a typical teenage gamer. Her laugh would turn heads, and her smile would light up a room to those around her.

She is survived by her Mother Erica Childress (Todd Worster), Father Jason Akers, and wife, Haley, Sisters Jaylynn and Kylie Akers, and Alyssa Wicklander, and Brother Dylan Akers all of Odessa, TX, 1 Great-grandfather Howard Sprague of Midland, TX, 2 Great-grandmothers Marilyn Gage of Granbury, TX, and Kay Czarnikow of Odessa, TX, Grandparents, Terry and Daniel Brown of Odessa, TX, Ken and Gigi Childress of Burlington, NC., Kathy and Cullen Hudnall of Odessa, TX, Johnny Gibson of Abilene, TX, Ricky and Sara Akers of Odessa, TX, Leslie and Joey Dixon of Odessa, TX, Danny Czarnikow of Odessa, TX, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by Great-grandmother Judy Sprague, Great-grandparents Ray and Alice Childress, Walter and Pearl Copeland, Rena Burnett, Mary and David Dixon, Sandra and Bobby Gage, and Don Czarnikow.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm – 9 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022 in the chapel of Odessa Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in the chapel of Odessa Funeral Home with a reception to follow at Immanuel Baptist Church.
