Odessa - In life there’s one thing that is for certain and that is death. Death can come announced or sneak up on you, however, death does not hold a sting like it once did. For we know that death is really just the beginning. Death is the beginning of a new life, a new creation, a new journey with the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the one who is and always shall be.

Today we honor this new beginning of life, Juan Jose “Joe” Marquez, was born in Alpine, Tx on August 6, 1952 to Fidel R. Marquez and Maria Alarcon Marquez. Joe grew up in Odessa, Tx. Where he graduated from Ector High School in 1972. Joe worked for Beet’s Diesel for many years. He was a Diesel mechanic which was his joy of life and a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He had zest for life and a smile for all he met. He found the good in all things and taught his family and all those who knew him to love and forgive.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Fidel R. Marquez, his mother Maria Alarcon Marquez, Sisters, Betty Najera, Hortencia Garcia and Mary Ellen Dutchover. His Brother, Antonio Marquez. His nieces Belinda Rodriguez, Lupita Alvarado and Bertha Lopez. His nephews, Benny Dutchover and Ted Dutchover Sr.

Joe is survived by his Brothers, Fidel Marquez, Jr., Gilbert Marquez, and Mario Marquez. Sisters Elfida Marquez, Olga Marquez all of Odessa, Texas. And Elodia Dominguez of Crane, Texas. And many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kristopher Cisneros, Mario Cisneros, Avery Marquez, Michael Martinez, Mark Martinez and Joe Ray Gonzales, Honorary Pallbearer, Adrian Lopez

The family will welcome friends and loved ones, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 5pm till 9pm at Frank Wilson Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 7:00pm

Graveside Services will be at 1:00pm, Thursday, August 27, 2020 held at Holy Angels Cemetery in Alpine, Texas.
