He was born May 9, 1964 to Harvey and Martha Moore in Pecos, Texas.
Joseph grew up in Toyahvale, Texas and attended 12 years of school in Balmorhea, Texas.
He was an Honor Student, played football as the team field goal kicker, and he played the tuba in the band. Joseph attended Culinary School at Odessa College. He was an avid adventurer, with his travels taking him from Balmorhea to Seattle, Hawaii and Florida with him making Odessa, Texas his home. Joseph was employed by Jason’s Deli in Odessa and he loved his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Charles Moore.
He is survived by his lifelong partner of 15 years, Darrell Horne of Odessa, brother, John H. Moore Jr. and wife Donna of Bloomfield, N.M., sisters, Janet Sessom and husband Roger of Lawton, OK., and Peggy Moore and her partner, Tricia Hobbs of Midland, two nieces Kristi Velasquez and husband Gerald and their daughter Erika, and Shelley Floyd, one nephew, Dwayne Sessom, several great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece and nephew.
A Memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Margaret Walker officiating.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations and contributions be made to Permian Basin Assisted Services in Odessa, TX.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
